City of Sails Rock ‘n’ Roll Lessons

City of Sails holds Lessons on Tuesday evenings and we would like to invite anyone and everyone to attend. Our Rock ‘n’ roll Lessons are fun, exciting and lead by well known members of the club. Over the six week course, our friendly instructors will arm you with moves so that you can head out on the floor and dance to your favourite Rock ‘n’ roll tunes. Start by trying our beginners lessons, then when you feel comfortable, progress to our Intermediate lessons.

We devote a lot of time and effort to organising and running our Lessons to ensure participants get maximum benefit; don’t be shy, we would love to see you there!

How Much Do Lessons Cost?

Beginners Lessons

$25

Beginners classes include six lessons, over a six week period. You will learn the basic step for rock’n’roll as well as some simple turns and floor moves.

Intermediate Lessons

$20

Intermediate classes include four lessons, over a four week period. Lessons are aimed at those who would like to further improve their Rock 'n' Roll dancing abilities and are open to all Club Members who have sucessfully mastered the Beginners classes or have danced before and want to brush up on the more complicated turns and floor moves.

Styles/Floor Moves

$20

The Style/Floor Moves & Workshops are geared towards the enthusiastic Rock 'n' Roller that wants to make an impression on the dance floor. These are moves that add flavour and a bit of spice to your dancing.

Dance Lessons We Hold

Beginners, Intermediate, New Moves and Styles are just some of the lessons held. Lesson blocks typically consist of six lessons held over six consecutive Tuesdays; with the exception of months where public holidays occur. If a public holiday or long weekend occur during your lesson block, we will notify you in advance of any changes to the schedule.

Soo… put your glad rags on and get yourself down to the hall for a rocking good time! We hold Club Night immediately after the class so there is plenty of time to practice the rock ‘n’ roll moves you have learned and meet like other club members.
